This board is the accompaniment to my Hackaday.io project demonstrating the design of a high-voltage, low-power flyback converter from scratch. It is capable of achieving 90% efficiency at full load. The design follows evaluation-board style, meaning parts are spaced to allow rework and adjustment, and there are accessible test points for many interesting node voltages. The input and output power connections are standard 4mm banana jacks. The board is excellent for an evaluation and teaching tool for understanding switching DC-DC power converters. The board comes with attached nylon standoffs for easier evaluation on the bench.
