HT16K33 20-SOP Backpack Driver for BL28-3005Sx04Y Bar Meter Display

The SBK BarMeterHT 28 V1 is a compact LED driver board designed to control a 28-segment bargraph display (BL28-3005Sx04Y series). Powered by the Holtek HT16K33 LED controller IC in a 20-SOP package, this module is ideal for projects requiring visually rich level indicators, VU meters, or dynamic status displays — all through I2C!

• 🧠 Integrated HT16K33 IC with:
• I2C interface (up to 400kHz)
• 8×8 RAM-mapped LED control
• 16-level digital dimming (PWM brightness control)
• 🔌 I2C address settable via onboard jumpers (A0–A2)
• 🔋 Operates at 5V logic and power
• 🔧 Includes pull-up resistors and bypass capacitor for stable operation
• 🔩 Designed as a backpack for SBK BarMeter SA28/SK28 boards (not included) holding 28 segments matrix type bar meter (BL28-3005SA04Y for common-anode or BL28-3005SK04Y for common-cathode)

🚀 Getting Started

To control this module:

1. Connect SDA/SCL/GND/VCC to your microcontroller (5V logic).
2. Set I2C address via onboard A0-A2 jumpers.
3. Use any HT16K33-compatible Arduino library or our custom SBK_HT16K33 library for a simple driver interface.
4. Use SBK_BarDrive Arduino Library for easy bar meter animations.
