Always wanted to make your own IoT sensors to automate your home? MySensors does all the heavy lifting so you can focus on what matters. It integrates into a lot of controllers (Home Assistant, Jeedom, Domoticz, and more) so you can easily connect custom made devices into your existing home automation setup.
This module plugs into french Gazpar gas meters to keep track of the volume of gas consumed in real time. Gazpar meters send a pulse every 0.01 m³ (10 L) which is detected by this module. The volume is then sent wirelessly every 3 minutes to the controller.
With the 3 minute reporting rate in the default firmware, the battery lasts around a month before needing to be recharged. You can increase the battery life by modifying a variable in the code to report less often.
This module has been designed with thoughts and consideration, but does not come with any certification. Only CE and ATEX certified devices should be installed next to the gas meter. Use it at your own risk.
