The PB16 Pixel Controller is designed as a DIY hobbyist controller. The Pocketbeagle running FPP drives the 16 local pixel ports, remote receiver port(4 remote ports), 16 port expansion, and 2 serial ports. A total of 36 pixel outputs. The design is modular and can support many use cases. It runs a full Linux operating system with ethernet, WIFI and audio supported over the USB port. Controller configuration is fully supported in the latest xLights. Can run as a standalone controller, or be used with other controllers/devices in bridge or remote mode. It is 140mm (5") wide by 103mm(4") tall.
I wanted a more advanced 16 port ws2811 pixel controller than any other available on the market. This controller can drive 1500 pixels per at 20fps or 800 at 40fps. It has the ability to drive this amount of pixels on each of the 36 available outputs.
The two DMX outputs support many configurations. The RJ45 DMX connector supports DMX and LOR pinouts thought a selector switch. The second DMX port is broken out via a 4 pin screw terminals with the ability to supply DC voltage as well. A fully independent remote receiver(4 remote ports) drives 4 additional outputs.
