Every time before assembling a PCB, you have to make sure all the components from the BOM are actually in stock. And in our opinion, the most annoying part of that process is counting SMD components on reels. When we started looking for an off-the-shelf solution for our own production needs, we quickly realized that the market offered very few options. And the ones that did exist were either extremely limited in functionality — or way too expensive for small DIY workshops. That’s why we ended up building a simple, budget-friendly device for our own use. Over time, we found out we weren't the only ones who needed it — the tool turned out to be useful for many hobbyists and even professional manufacturers.
