A Bit of Notice:

Given the pixel density I DO NOT recommend running these panels at high brightness levels. if you wish to increase color resolution I recommend employing dithering techniques or implementing Black Frame Insertion within your driver.

I personally tend to run these LED Matrices in mass parallel to one another slightly overclocked to 1.1MHz at about ~480-520FPS (so each matrix gets it's own data line) and insert about 3 black frames between each real frame being produced by the MCU being used. This allows me to comfortably run the panels about about a brightness of 48 within FastLED, while also having the benefit of drastically reducing heat output and power draw. (for example depending on the content being displayed, a 5x6 matrix of 8x8 panels could draw about 50w at 48 brightness without black frame insertion and about 5w with black frame insertion)

RUNNING THESE PANELS AT TOO HIGH OF BRIGHTNESS LEVELS WITHOUT ACTIVE COOLING WILL RESULT IN BURNT LEDS OR THEM DESOLDERING THEMSELVES FROM THE BOARD

What is it?

High density 8x8 addressable LED matrix that is compatible with most modern LED drivers (if it can drive ws2812 & the like it can drive these)

Why did you make it?

I bought a 100 pack of these LEDs a couple years ago just to see how small they were in person, which quickly evolved into me taking a bit between a friend and myself quite seriously and designed 1.442 pixel pitch boards to shove inside keycaps. The pitch for these is a tad further apart but it is still quite dense!

What makes it special?

SK6805-EC10s & WS2812-1010s are extremely small and these could fit into a plethora of different projects (miniatures, figures, very tiny displays, etc) . The extremely tight pixel density allows for smaller displays that pack more pixels.
