Andrews & Arnold Ltd are a UK based communications company. We sell internet, telephone, SMS, and make some serious industry routers (FireBrick).

We use a lot of open source, and give back with a lot of open source work. As part of that, we have a lot of open source PCB designs, which we make to sell to hobbyists as development boards here.

Suggestions and merge requests on GitHub always welcome.

We are UK based so handle UK VAT. If you are not in the UK you may have to pay tax and/or duty on receipt. This is outside our control and ON TOP of what you pay Tindie. We cannot pre pay this (apart from US where it is including in shipping price). Perfect solution for Daikin AC units in Home Assistant

For Faikout: Alternative WiFi air-con controller

This is the perfect solution for integrating Daikin AC units into Home Assistant. I have six Daikin ceiling “cassette” units, and installation was straightforward – each unit has an S21 port, so I simply plugged in the Faikout using the supplied cable. The 3D printed case fits neatly inside the AC housing too, making for a clean, professional installation.
The Faikout works really well. I now have complete local control through Home Assistant without needing the Daikin remote controls. No IR blasters to fiddle with, no cloud dependency, and no subscription services – just direct, reliable integration. For anyone looking to automate their Daikin units, this board is exactly what you need.
Now I need to find a solution for my three Mitsubishi Electric ACs (or replace them with Daikins).

This make my heat pump so much better to use!

For Faikout: Alternative WiFi air-con controller

I did apprehend a bit ordering this little board and figuring out to plug it in, but it was cheap enough to be worth a try. And seriously it is making my heat pump a lot more useful. Obviously I can now, using it in conjunction with tailscale, remotely control it before coming home. It's integration with home assistant is already proved useful in tuning things, but also showing that daikin temperature control isn't that great compared to the auto mode this device provide. And the cherry on top, the reactivity is incredible. We live in Canada and we shouldn't use our heat pump when it goes below -15C. It took like a day from the time I asked for this feature to have a cutoff temperature added to faikout. Now, I do not have to worry and can continue to use this heat pump and get the most of it all year long. Really, great value and great support! Looking forward to try when available the bluetooth remote.

A product that actually does exactly what is shown

For Illuminated sound reactive coaster dev board

I know that's rare on e commerce sites these days but this is a product which is exactly what it purports to be, is as bright as is actually shown and works as well as the video portrays.

Perfect for local control

For Faikout: Alternative WiFi air-con controller

Item works perfectly. Connected them to the s21 port and it even exposes fan and swivel controls that my previous Airzone Cloud controller did not allow me to change. Also kudos for the fast shipping and being extra helpful in chat.

The only catch is the wiring. The documentation refers to an older color scheme on the wires and currently it's shipping with a different set of colors. I would recommend you pull out a multimeter and find the +12V lead before connecting anything to make sure you got the orientation correct.

Impressive

For High quality audio recorder, dev board & case

Wow! First and foremost, the quality that those little I2S mics can muster is quite simply astounding and this, combined with such a thorough and diverse feature-set (including automatic upload), makes for a very handy little device. The setup workflow and web config interface are excellently implemented too, providing access to all manner of additional (metaphorical) bells and whistles. Next steps will to get a battery and design and print a case for this. Thank you!
