What is it?

Fully DEC VT100 Escape Code compatible. Extended escape code support from other DEC VT models. Extended ANSI escape code support. Implements both 80 and 132 column modes. Supports Advanced Video Option (AVO) features: 132x24 and additional character attributes - Bold, Blink, Underline, and Reverse video. Optional simulated scan lines for a CRT look. Baud rates up to 115200. Requires VGA monitor, VGA cable, and USB keyboard(not included). Includes USB-C power adapter and USB-C cable. The VGA connector and the USB-A port are positioned such that they should fit in the cut-out of a DB-25 connector opening (assuming the plastic case is removed). E.g. Installed in a DB-25 cut-out at the back of an IMSAI 8080.

Why did you make it?

The VT100 mini is a hardware repackaging of the VT-132 terminal emulator. It is based entirely on the fine work of "The High Nibble" and their VT-132. The High Nibble neither endorses, authorizes, nor supports this product.
