About the A8PicoCart

The A8PicoCart is a multi-cart for the Atari 8-bit (XL/XE) line of computers.

The device has two modes of operation. Connected to a computer via USB, it functions as a standard storage device, letting you transfer Atari game and program files (ROM, CAR, XEX, and ATR formats) onto its memory. When connected to an Atari computer, it displays these files in a menu system. From there, it can either simulate different types of game cartridges or run XEX program files directly.

Note to original Atari 400/800 owners:

About use on the original 48k Atari 800 and 48k (upgraded Atari 400), users on AtariAge report they must turn on the machine, then hit reset, and then it boots into the menu. I take returns for any reason, so feel free to simply try it.
