This a a microcontroller to save your PS2 laser on when the mechacon crashes, packaged with a custom flex PCB for quick soldered installs!

Why did you make it?

The lasers in PS2 models SCPH-390XX, SCPH-500XX and SCPH-700XX are known to fail when the DSP (Digital Signal Processor) crashes, which in turned burns up the laser if it crashed while reading. Designed for a quick and easy install so your wiring always looks clean!

What makes it special?

No need to run multiple wires that look ugly, especially if interfering with your modchip install! This does not hinder the usual or alt points used for a SCPH-700XX modchip install. Even if you dont have a modchip, this is needed. This does not interfere with any CDVD, BOOTROM or alt BOOTROM solder points if soldering in a region free mod.
