One can either insert a gate to drive the the attack/release circuit and control the vactrol or use an external gate/signal.

With no input signal on in, the A/R signal is routed directly to out. So you can use portcullis both as a vca and to produce A/R CV signals.

The A/R effectively swings between the millisecond (?) domain to 10 seconds of release.

The panel is copper filled, so it's about as stiff as aluminum. I like copper fills.

4HP (30mm width and depth) Portcullis consumes about 15mA.
