Seeed XIAO ESP32 Minibadge

Description

A Minibadge that can hold and power the Seeed XIAO ESP32 modules. It features 1206 diodes to prevent the XIAO from backfeeding power to the main badge, should you plug USB in at the same time. The Minibadge has solderable jumper pads to connect 3.3v, 5v, SDA, and SCL to your ESP.

Assembly instructions

• Solder Minibadge legs (1x 8 pin, 2x 2 pins)
• Solder Diodes
• Solder the 5V pin header
• Solder legs to ESP32 (ESP32C6, ESP32 Cam)
• Attach antenna(s) (ESP32 Cam, ESP32 Meshtastic)
• Solder ESP to Minibadge
• (Optional) Solder SDA and SCL jumpers for I2C

I recommend just soldering the 5V jumper. I would not connect the 3.3V jumper, and do not ever connect both 3.3V and 5V at the same time. Connecting SDA/SCL is unnecessary. I would like to see if it's at all possible for the badge next year to work with this badge over I2C, but this is out of my hands.

• XIAO ESP32-S3 + Wio-SX1262 (Meshtastic)
• XIAO ESP32-C6 (Thread/Zigbee)
• XIAO ESP32-S3 Sense (Camera/SD card)
• Other XIAO ESPs are untested, but if the pinout is the same, it will work.
