An "ISP Bridge" is an adapter; it forms a bridge across a DIP Chip allowing easy programming of breadboarded Atmel's AVR microcontrollers.
I enjoy prototyping micros on breadboards, but a big problem when hooking up a programmer was having to deal with six individual wires connected to spread-out pins on the micro. When I joined a Makerspace I wanted to take my projects there, but wires would pull out in-transit. Moving programmers from project to project also took forever. The ISP Bridge solves all these problems.
After coming up with the idea, I looked online and found a couple of similar attempts out of perfboard, but none were available to purchase. I used this as a good excuse to start learning KiCad and made 7 designs to program every DIP packaged AVR Atmel makes.
