This board has been updated to a USB-C connector and a small board-mounted switch to select target power.
This small board is an adapter designed for the AtmelICE programming tool to make it more useful. It converts the .05" 10 pin DIP header on the AtmelICE to the standard ISP/PDI .1" 6 pin DIP header. The board also includes a USB-C connector that is used to supply target power. An onboard LDO and a 3 position switch allows choosing between 3.3v and 5v target power injection from USB. Since the AtmelICE is otherwise unable to program unpowered targets, this makes it far easier to use.
The board comes with a short 10 pin .05" DIP cable to connect to the AtmelICE. Add your own USB cable and ISP/PDI cable.
The AtmelICE does come with a cable that can achieve this same end, but the cable is somewhat fragile and does not have any provision for injecting target power.
