Extender card needed for testing and alignment of the Marconi 2955 test set

Born out of a discussion on Groups.io (thanks all) these extender cards were made to replace the original (and hard to find) Marconi parts. Alignment and testing of this venerable test set is almost impossible without being able to run the pcb's lifted clear of the chassis. Hence the need for an extender.

These have gold-plated contacts and just need a suitable connecter fitted to the top. It also helps to make a guide, bolted to the cards, that aligns with the card slots in the chassis. (Note that each card has its connector a different offset, so the guide needs to be made to slide sideways a little.)

Please note that, to use with the 2955, you need to add two links, one on each side, to connect the earths. (The option allows the extender to be used in different equipment.) You need to connect the square centre pad (from the connector), to the two via's either side. This connects the earth pin from the 2955 to the earthing shields on the extender.

My own version has been used successfully for alignment.
