Read More…This board is great for powering circuits that need 5V from a low input voltage such as a LiPo or 2+ AA batteries. The main IC is a Texas Instruments TPS61240. The enable pin is broke out to both the input and output side to allow enabling/disabling the regulator from either side. The ENJMP pads are soldered with a 0 Ohm resistor connecting VIN to ENABLE allowing an always on state. The resistor can be easily removed with a soldering iron. The header pins are arranged so they fit in a standard solderless breadboard (0.1" / 2.54mm spacing). You will receive the board with all surface mount components soldered and 6 through hole header pins not soldered.
