What is it?

This is a 9V electrically controlled mechanical bell powered by a solenoid. When triggered, the solenoid actuates the bell to produce a real, physical ringing sound. It is designed for easy integration into Arduino projects, embedded systems, and DIY electronics builds.

Why did you make it?

Many small electronic projects need a simple and reliable way to produce a clear audible signal. Standard buzzers often lack the mechanical feel and sound of a real bell. I designed this device to provide an authentic mechanical ring while remaining compatible with common 9V power sources, including standard 9V batteries and microcontroller-based setups.

What makes it special?

This bell includes integrated capacitors, allowing it to operate even from low-current 9V sources that cannot deliver high instantaneous current. The capacitors store energy and release it when the solenoid is activated, ensuring reliable operation.

It can also be powered directly from a high-current 9V source if available. This flexibility makes it especially well suited for Arduino projects, portable builds, and maker applications where power constraints are a consideration.
