Lipo Battery (3.7V) is essential but not included in this item. Please find it at your local reseller. Any capacity (1000mAh-2000mAh are best) will work.

What is it?

This is another version of my previous item "Sound Toy Box". Now the board can work by single Lipo battery (3.7V). The battery can be recharged through the onboard charging circuit through mini-USB connector. The board is DSP based real-time signal processor not only for general guitar effector but also working for "personal audio toy box". It has a pre-programmed 16 types wonderful sound effector inside V1000 by coolaudio. When we listen to old historical recording like Beatles through this board, we can get "Get Back in The Cavern club". Not limited to Rock, classic music and any music will have "another new version" by this board!

Why did you make it?

The previous version works with 5V AC/DC adaptor but not always AC power source available. Battery operation is more handy and useful for general use. But simple Lipo battery connection does not work because AD/AD converter (cool audio V4220M) requires 5 V (V1000 works for 3.3 V). As for the solution, onboard voltage booster is prepared, and AD/DA and Op-amps are working perfectly on 5V. Voltage booster works 1.6 MHz and no interference to audio quality.

What makes it special?

• Single Lipo cell operation. Battery charging circuit on-board! No need AC/DC anymore

• 16 types (reverb, echo, phaser, flanger...) sound effect can be made and easily switched by the rotary encoder.

• 3.5 mm stereo plug is easy to use for personal audio application (we can just connect between your smartphone and amplifier (or powered speaker).)

• V1000 is controlled by ATmega328 with Arduino bootloader. We can try to make our own effect through Arduino IDE. Details are available on Cool Audio V1000 datasheet

• Tiny OLED display presents the current sound effect name. The display is SSD1306 connected to ATmega328 and easy to program.

• Objective of this item is, audio application. For guitar effector application you may need additional amplifier for input.

Lipo battery is NOT optional but the essential part for operation. Please find single cell Lipo battery (3.7V). Any capacity will work. The Lipo battery for the operation is NOT USB power pack (USB battery).
