What is it?

ESP32 audio development board with

On board Lipo charger (enable/disable is possible by jumper)
132x64 SH1106 OLED display
TI PCM5102A high-resolution DAC
Two on-board MEMS I2S microphones Knowles SPH0645LM4H-B
FTDI (FT231XS) for binary uploading

Why did you make it?

MEMS I2S microphone is very recent device and I wanted to use one myself...

What makes it special?

A lot of application can be realized including

voice input application by the unique MEMS I2S microphones
High-quality audio output application (web radio/Bluetooth speaker)
battery driven standalone application with very clear OLED display
(NEW) USB-powered operation, which can be set by on-board jumper pins.

Note for initial release The initial release has just a few units but will be prepared more as per demand... As an initial testing firmware (testing microphone and DAC and ESP32), Megaphone operation(get sound by the microphone and A/D through I2S and converted DAC to the audio out) firmware is uploaded. This Megaphone code is a test code developed by Michael Buckling at ESP32 forum This firmware does not activate right microphone (left-top is surely activated) and needs code modification for 2ch operation. Utilizing this board requires esp-IDF environment, not Arduino IDE. Please prepare esp-IDF on your computer before using this development board.

The movie below is introduced by the initial prototype. The production version does not have a thin-wire jumper, which can be seen in the following movie.
