The program source of web radio is totally based on Russian programmer pvvx's work. SSD1306 based 128x32 pixels OLED display on-board and is connected to RTL8710 through I2C interface. Hardware viewpoint, this board is completed but very nice programming skills are required to complete it. (Indeed, I dear to say hardware viewpoint this is completed but software viewpoint not yet completed...) I myself will provide a very fundamental source which will receive certain web radio station (mp3.streampower.be/mnm_hits-low.mp3), but I believe your skill will be superior to mine. I will surely provide completed circuit but CALL FOR Challenger! Lead-axial components (capacitor) and terminals, VR for audio volume control are NOT soldered so you will need some soldering (it is easy, not difficult as SMT soldering.)
We can buy streaming web radio from several companies, but it is really pleasant to see just a small WiFi module that can receive audio signal through Wifi, that is why I made this one.
It is a very simple circuit. Again I would clarify that the main code for web radio is written by a great Russian programmer, pvvx. I just made a circuit board supporting it. If you have good programming skills, and have no circuit fear, you can focus on programming by getting this board.
What is included in this kit Everything that is required to operate web radio, including (1) main board and all parts (2) AC/DC adaptor (9V, world wide support from 100-240V)
Lead-axial components (capacitors, resistors) and terminals, VR for audio volume control are NOT soldered so you will need some soldering (it is easy, not difficult as SMT soldering.)
What is NOT included in this kit (1) Good speaker (2) RTL8710 programmer, like CMSIS-DAP or J-Link
Notice I will write firmware supporting SSID: webradio, password: rtl8710web . Just for testing the circuit, if you prepare the access point of 802.11b/g (2.4GHz) with WPA encrypted with this password and SSID, you will instantly listen to music. If you have some request to hard-code your SSID and password, I will write test firmware that supports your AP. Please let me know in your order with SSID and password in "additional info". Of course, I will make it confidential. As you will see in my youtube video, the sound quality is not "commercial grade". Please accept this in advance to your order.
