Recently Atmel released Atmel Studio 7, which came with a new version of ASF and AVRISP mkII firmware. However the new firmware breaks
avrdude. Now I no longer have the ISP for my AVRs that works with Arduino IDE any more and I rolled this.
For a brief time I had a PIC phase. The Press-to-Program feature of PICkit is very nice when I am doing bulk programming. Since I am rolling my own AVR ISP I might as well add this feature as well. Currently the hardware required for this feature is installed but the software still do not support it yet.
The first version of its firmware is a slightly modified ArduinoISP sketch. I am going to create a new version once I got time, and properly implement STK500v2 protocol as well as the Press-to-Program candy.
