News 09-May-2021 - Kits are back in stock! Pre-assembled stock is running low, but more are on their way from the factory.
05-Jan-2021 - I've been seeing SIGNIFICANT delays from the post office in international "first class" shipping. When choosing your shipping options, please keep this in mind. "Priority" shipping will be delivered much faster.
06-Sep-2020 - If you don't see your country in the shipping options, or would like a different shipping method, please send me a message.
What is it?
RaSCSI is a virtual SCSI device emulator that runs on a Raspberry Pi. It can emulate multiple SCSI devices concurrently, provides a control interface to attach / detach drives, as well as insert and eject removable media. Simply launch the software, connect the RaSCSI interface board to your Mac and the devices will be recognized as physical SCSI devices!
Several users and developers hang out in Discord. Stop by and join us! https://discord.gg/PyS58u6
Why did you make it?
RaSCSI was originally developed for the Sharp X68000 in Japan. This is a slightly modified version for Apple Macintosh computers with SCSI. Most of the source code has been translated to English, along with creating some documentation targeted for the vintage Macintosh users.
What makes it special?
For now, it has very similar capabilities to the SCSI2SD. However, the open source collaboration team is working to add additional functionality, such as a SCSI Ethernet adapter.
I encourage you to download the source code, submit pull requests on github, update the documentation, submit issues and talk with us on the Forums
An assembly option is available for those who want it. The assembled ones are to be installed above the Raspberry Pi (https://github.com/akuker/RASCSI/wiki/Assembly#Orientation_options). Currently, I don't have any options for a pre-assembled version where the Pi goes above the RaSCSI board (compact version).
