News 01-Aug-2021 - Holy cow! I'm completely sold out! I hope to have more kits in stock in a couple weeks. The fully assembled may take a few weeks more. Please sign up for the waitlist to receive notification when these are back in stock.
21-Jul-2021 - I've been getting a lot of complaints for international shipments that use "First Class" shipping. Some of the deliveries are taking 12 weeks or more. For now, I'm going to remove the First Class shipping option. Please note that the "Priority" shipments are still taking a long time. Don't be surprised if it takes MONTHS to be delivered.
29-May-2021 - I've added some options for pre-assembled versions in the "compact" or "powerbook" configurations. Both of these will be assembled BY HAND when they're ordered, so it may take several days to ship them out. The compact assembly can be used with a Pi Zero (or Zero W), with the Pi on top of the RaSCSI board. The PowerBook configuration will have the Pi Zero on top, but with a 2mm SCSI connector instead of the DB-25 or top ribbon connector. (I'll be uploading pictures shortly)
24-May-2021 - One of the RaSCSI community members has offered to distribute the assembled RaSCSI units within Europe! Please feel free to visit his site and compare shipping costs to your location: https://samplerspa.de/
06-Sep-2020 - If you don't see your country in the shipping options, or would like a different shipping method, please send me a message.
What is it?
RaSCSI is a virtual SCSI device emulator that runs on a Raspberry Pi. It can emulate multiple SCSI devices concurrently, provides a control interface to attach / detach drives, as well as insert and eject removable media. Simply launch the software, connect the RaSCSI interface board to your Mac and the devices will be recognized as physical SCSI devices!

Why did you make it?
RaSCSI was originally developed for the Sharp X68000 in Japan. This is a slightly modified version for Apple Macintosh computers with SCSI. Most of the source code has been translated to English, along with creating some documentation targeted for the vintage Macintosh users.
What makes it special?
For now, it has very similar capabilities to the SCSI2SD. However, the open source collaboration team is working to add additional functionality, such as a SCSI Ethernet adapter.
I encourage you to download the source code, submit pull requests on github, update the documentation, submit issues and talk with us on the Forums
An assembly option is available for those who want it. The assembled ones are to be installed above the Raspberry Pi (https://github.com/akuker/RASCSI/wiki/Assembly#Orientation_options). Currently, I don't have any options for a pre-assembled version where the Pi goes above the RaSCSI board (compact version).
