Read More…The demand for PocketSDRs is not very high due to its niche application. As such, orders can not be outsourced, requiring all to be hand-reflowed and hand-soldered. Sadly this is not a viable option for me anymore and I now work full-time and am having difficulties finding the time to fulfill said orders.
I have therefore open-sourced the specific NEO* variant here: https://github.com/meh301/PocketSDRNEO
If demand is still high despite the completion of this production run, I will consider manufacturing more, probably by outsourcing if possible.
Unlike the initial variant, this NEO* version addresses design flaws of the open-source design, namely the LDO being incorrectly routed, and the RF power divider lacking an isolation resistor (issue #4 on the github page). Furthermore, I have also taken the liberty to switch the USB port to type-C, and replaced the jumper for antenna power with a polyfuse. Information on the LDO and polyfuse recommendation are graciously provided here.
PocketSDR is an open source GNSS data acquisition hardware project by Professor 高須知二 (Tomoji Takasu) of 東京海洋大学 (Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology). Please refer to the Github project for details on software and hardware:

It is a dual-channel GNSS SDR based on two Maxim Integrated MAX2771 Multiband Universal GNSS Receivers capable of simultaneous data capture of L1/L2, L1/L5, L1/L6 based on the loaded configuration.
