Updated Version r2!

This is an updated version of my previous prototype that used a mostly typical perfboard for assembly. That version (r1) can still be built with the available PCB here, Prototype PerfBoard / 10 LED EMF Meter- PCB

This is a replica built to look like Olivia's 10 LED EMF meter seen in the Supernatural TV series. The new version now has a dedicated PCB layout, 9 selectable EMF sequences, and will retain a set volume level when restarted. This version is a prop only and does not have any EMF detection. A great item for cosplay or Halloween.

Description

Olivia's 10 LED EMF Meter This meter was only shown in one episode (Season 4, Episode 2) of the series but was a very standout meter. This is a prop only version with no EMF detection abilities. It was designed with a custom PCB using surface mount and through hole parts.

This is truly a unique prop. The meter has a test switch for creating custom EMF events and also has 9 pre-programmed event sequences. These pre-programmed sequences can be added to or changed by reprogramming the ATTiny code. There is a 10 position rotary switch on the back that allows the selection of the EMF sequence. Using a quick press of the program switch runs the selected program. The 0 switch position will cycle through the programs sequentially, one for each switch press. Holding the switch will enable the custom EMF events for as long as the button is held.

An ATTiny1604 is used to control the DFPlayer sound board, the analog meter, and LED deflection. The ATTiny1604 can be programmed using a UPDI interface.

Great for Cosplay or Halloween.
