What is it?

Avocado growth float. Plunk the avocado in, put it in water, and, in theory, it will start growing a few weeks later. 3D-printed in black PETG

Why did you make it?

I wanted to grow avocados from a seed, but I didn't find a solution that I liked

What makes it special?

• BIG 60mm main ID can accommodate very large avocado seeds (e.g. Choquette variety). Minimum clearance is around 34mm, so much smaller seeds can grow as well.
• Inner protrusions are spaced in such a way that root extraction should be relatively simple when it's time to transplant.
• Holes in each inner protrusion allow someone to tie on a fishing line to secure it to a weight or surface feature. I could imagine a colony of these floating away off of one's dock in a lake, in a coy pond, or similar situation.

What's the catch?

Well you have to wait years for delicious avocados. Also, what's shown in the images and dimensions are prototypes and may be different. Finally, I just designed this a week or two ago, so while they should grow avocado trees, the jury is ultimately still out on that.
