AIRTOUCHS is a capacitive programable, hackable, open source keyboard.

You can connect it to the computer and play it polyphonically. It´s plug and play, so no need to install drivers.

It has 2 octaves plus octave transport, 8 potentiometers, and 8 programable buttons that work as pages between other functions, so you can have 3 pages of 8 pots which are 24 pots in total to control your synth.

The hardware comes ready to control a modular too, but it needs some additional soldering and tinkering to produce voltage outs, and therefore control a modular. This is aimed to advanced users. Soldering those extra components, you enable 2 additional CV out plus 1 gate out that you can use to control, for example, an eurorack modular synth or other external gear.

Implemented (Works out of the box): Polyphonic 2 octave capacitive, USB Midi OUT, programable, hackable. Open-source.

To Be Implemented (needs programation or soldering SMD components): Sequencer (easy), Euclidean Ridms (easy) Midi out by DIN (should be easy, not tested the hardware side yet). Polyphonic aftertouch should be doable (but is not tested). Pressure-sensitive (most probably, initial tests working). OLED Screen (hardware running, needs software), sequencer...

The polyphonic keyboard works phenomenally. The DAC is not the most accurate in the planet (pt8211), so now it plays in tune (when driving a modular 1v/oct) for 1-2 octaves. I think I could get it to tune 4-5 octaves with additional software calibration as now I have not implemented calibration yet and not sure if I will. (The USB MIDI out calibration is perfect, it only affect the CV OUT 1v/oct side of the modular)

I have implemented a 16-bit version of bytebeat in an alternative firmware which sounds pretty cool and I will be demoing in some moment. The firmware is written in Arduino so is super easy to program and hack.

It comes in three flavours:

-PCB Only. For advanced users only. You source the components and solder it. You program it. I give you the source code. It´s arduino based.

-Full Kit. For advanced users. It includes 2 SMD chips to solder. It comes with all the bits to build your Airtouchs and a pregrogrammed microcontroller

-Fully assembled. It comes ready to plug and play
