What is it?

ThIS vhf transistor radio is based on the popular TA7358 front fm amp/osc which supplies an intermediate frequency of 10.7Mhz and processed with discrete transistors making it very easy to demodulate the Amplitude Modulation for the Air Band. The radio tuning is controlled by two varicap diodes and two variable resistors tune and fine tune to tune the band , a fine tune variable resistor is also included in the circuit and also a squelch control and volume control. This enables the radio amp to switch on only when there is a transmission on the frequency.

A connector is provided to tap in the oscillator so as to connect a frequency counter to act as a frequency display of the radio.

All credits goes to Rob - Who contributed to draw the pcb and share with me. Air Band always fascinated me and always looking to build new radios .. so lets build another radio ..

What makes it special?

The board is very compact and very well layed out.

A beginer can easily build it in a couple of Hours
