The front end Input has been upgraded with a 1nv/Hz low wideband noise op-amp. Altough it works without it , it is recomended to have a pre amp stage on its input.

Pi Pico Rx is a minimal SDR receiver based around the Raspberry Pi Pico. The design uses a “Tayloe” Quadrature Sampling Detector (QSD) popularized by Dan Tayloe. And used in many HF SDR radio designs. This simple, design allows a high-quality mixer to be implemented using an inexpensive analogue switch.

The board features an input rf amplifier followed by a set of low pass band filters which is selected according to the band which then feeds the tayloe circuit and fed to the pico to decode the signal.

The output audio is filtered and fed to an bridged audio amplifier.

Also the board has two control buttons to shuffle left or right and also an rotary encoder to serve as as the tune dial and a button to accept the selection.

The radio has also a very friendly and assorted menu system and covers both the displays and the radio settings.
