What is it?

The frequency counter kit can be used to measure frequencies from 1hz to 50mhz and also check quartz crystals. The Frequency counter has a onboard button which can access a menu to zero the scale, add or deduct an offset in case it will be used in a shortwave receiver.

The pcb is well labelled and makes it very easy to assemble it.

Features : · frequency range 1 Hz ... 50 MHz

· five digits resolution (display for example x.xxxx kHz, x.xxxx MHz, or xx.xxx MHz)

· automatic range switching with different gate times

· optional addition or subtraction of a frequency offset (programmable)

· optional preamplifier for the input signal

· very low component count: a PIC 16F628, 5 7-segment LED displays, a 20-MHz crystal and a few resistors

· optional (configurable) power-saving mode which automatically turns the display off if the frequency didn't change significantly within 15 seconds
