What is it?

The universal Smart IR remote control board can learn the code of any RC5/RC6 IR protocol such as TV/SAT/DVD/Cable Box/etc remote control and stores it in the memory of the processor, thus making it easy to learn the codes from the source remote control. The board has three banks that can be customised to store IR codes for three devices such as Tv - cable - Sat, thus making it a smart device to have. It has a dedicated Learn button that is used for storing sequence. The Universal Smart Remote control board can be restored to its initial state - i.e remove all codes stored just by following a simple procedure. It uses a simple 4 x 3 Matrix membrane keypad and can operate from 6v to a 9v battery.

Instructions: Learning a code

Make sure the source remote is handy.

• 1- Press Bank 1 Button to select Bank 1 to store the codes.
• 2- Press a button form the 9 available buttons to assign it with a code
• 3- Press the learn switch and while holding the source remote close to the IR receiver press the button on the source remote to capture.
• 4- the red status led will flash and the learn mode led will light up and distinguish when done.
• 5- repeat 1 -4 to program the remaining buttons

Using the Smart remote control

• 1- press the bank button to select the device
• 2- press any button programmed with the code

Erasing the code - restore to default state

If the smart remote control stored codes need to be erased -

• 1- Hold the learn switch while applying power to the board
• 2- the status led will flash while the erasing sequence is executing
• 3- once ready the status led will distinguish.
