This module is a 6 Channel Hex Buffer with a regulator 3v onboard. The board hosts an LM1117-3V3 1Amp regulator and the Hex buffer HEF4050 CMOS chip.
With this module a 5v logic can drive safely a 3v3 device such as a TFT LCD Display - Such as ILI9*/ST7 series.
I ordered some TFT displays and wanted to interface them with my mega 2560 and arduino uno - but since the output was 5v , i looked for a module that could interface the tft with arduino, besides using resistors / bjt's/ transitors/ zener diodes/resistor combination - which will work in most cases, i preferred a much safer approach, by using a simple hex buffer .
The module was designed to be practical , easy to use. It is equipped with a low drop out 1 Amp regulator with smoothing and filter capacitors and with two 8 pin connectors used for its input and output. The 6 channels can be used and any unused input pins should be tied to the 5v.
