What is it?

This is a 30-pin FPC cable designed for use with I-PEX EVAFLEX® 5-SE connectors. It features a 0.5mm pitch and a length of 100mm. I have tested it and confirmed compatibility with the I-PEX 20539-030E-01 and 20799-030E-01 connectors.

Why did you make it?

While working on a project that required a vertical FPC connector, I found that the EVAFLEX® 5-SE series from I-PEX was a perfect fit for my PCB layout, especially in designs with limited space.

However, I-PEX only supplies the connector itself, and matching FPC cables are not available in the general market. I even contacted I-PEX for recommendations, but sourcing custom cables in small quantities was prohibitively expensive.

To solve this, I decided to design and produce my own FPC cables for the project—and that’s how this product came to be.
