Read More…The IS4410 is a module that integrates an I2C controller for a 4-20mA I2C Current Loop Transmitter. It features an internal memory map, allowing easy control: simply write the desired current value to the 'MILIAMP' register via I2C, and the module will drive that current through its current loop terminals.
The module includes two I2C pins (SDA and SCL), two current loop pins (CURRENT IN and CURRENT OUT), and power supply pins (3.3V and GND). It operates at 3.3V, and its I2C pins are 5V tolerant.
Designed for industrial applications, the IS4410 features protection against transient signals, electrostatic discharge (ESD), and radiated emissions immunity. Additionally, since industrial environments can be stressful and connection errors are common, the module includes automatic current polarity correction. This prevents damage if the operator mistakenly connects the current loop in reverse polarity.
