• Inspired by the natural behavior of sunflowers that turn toward the sun, ICSTATION has developed a creative soldering project — the Light-Chasing Sunflower.
• This innovative design incorporates the concept of phototropism, allowing the artificial sunflower to follow the direction of light just like its real counterpart

Working Principle:

• The DIY sunflower project features 2 light sensors positioned on either side of the flower.
• These sensors detect the intensity of incoming light and send signals to a microcontroller, which then activates a motor to rotate the flower in the direction of the stronger light source. This dynamic response allows the flower to mimic the natural behavior of real sunflowers

Bidirectional Rotation:

• Unlike traditional motors that can only rotate in a single direction—either left or right, ICSTATION has equipped the sunflower soldering project with a bidirectional motor capable of rotating freely in both directions.
