As seen on YouTube and commented on many other sites, Carlson designed a very useful non-contact very high gain electronic probe for investigating just about any kind of electrical signal from audio to RF. The design is well proven and open-sourced. There are several PCB designs in the wild for the probe and amplifier, but most of them are SMD construction. This is likely a primary barrier to building a one-off implementation.

We modified an open-source version of the PCBs by Yannick99 at www.instructables.com. These 2 PCBs are reliable and used in many DIY probes. In particular, we added mounting holes and improved grounding. This kit contains all of the 0805/1206 SMD and thru hole components needed to assemble the two Super Probe PCBs. Quite a few other components along with cases for the probe and amplifier are the creative responsibility of the buyer! Advanced level kits have more parts to build Amp & Probe. Assembled kits have all SMD parts attached and PCBs tested.

We provide a complete parts list of currently available components, schematics, assembly instructions and photos. (Some photos show more than is included in this kit so that the buyer has a visual reference to possible complete Super Probe builds.
