Next batch availability update

The 2nd batch will ship out on Monday, 18 August 2025, and orders will be accepted starting 11 August 2025.

The main difference between the Batch 1 and Batch 2 units is that the 4-pin GPIO connectors has been replaced with USB-C ports. This allows users to use a standard USB-C data cable, rather than a specific refresher tool, to enter the chipset’s bootloader mode.

As a result, the refresher is no longer required for reviving the device or upgrading the firmware.

In the meantime, the GitHub manual has been updated with more details and answers to a few common questions.

What is ESP32 Marauder - Double Barrel 5G?

If you're familiar with our ESP32 Marauder - Double Barrel, think of this as its 5G cousin.

The main difference with the 5G version is that it features a BW16 / RTL8720DN chipset. This enables both 5GHz and 2.4GHz scanning and deauthentication capabilities with Flipper Zero, all while maintaining a standalone ESP32 Marauder onboard. The standalone ESP32 can also load with other Firmware like Bruce.

Specifications of The Double Barrel 5G

The Marauder comes with:

• ESP32 chipset with an external antenna,
• A 2.8-inch touch screen,
• An 800mAh embedded battery,
• Onboard GPS access
• Micro SD card slot, for updating firmware and data storage
• 4pin GPIO (3.3V/Tx/Rx/Gnd)
• This part of the device can function as a standalone device (i.e., you can use it without Flipper Zero).
• The hardware version of this marauder is V6

The BW16 / RTL8720DN chipset is controlled by the Flipper Zero, it comes with:

• BW16 / RTL8720DN chipset with an external antenna
• Dual-Band 5Ghz + 2.4Ghz scanning, de-authentication, on multiple networks simultaneously, recommending on maximum 2 networks at the same time for optimal performance.
• 4pins GPIO 4pin GPIO (3.3V/Tx/Rx/Gnd) for firmware update.
• 5G FAP need to copy into Flipper SD card before usage, more details please refer to our manual.
• Notes: The 5G functionality works but is limited by the APP. More details please check the manual in Github
