This small power supply will be useful for those who are going to build their own Nixie clock or another device based on Nixie tubes.

Usually, building a device with Nixie tubes is complicated by the fact that these tubes require high voltage (up to 180 volts), which an ordinary enthusiast simply has no easy way to obtain. That’s exactly why I created this power supply. It can power up to six large Nixie tubes, such as the IN-18.

I designed this power supply to be as simple as possible — it can be assembled in just one evening. That’s why it can be considered one of the cheapest ways to obtain the voltage required to power Nixie tubes.
