What is it?

It's a breakout board for the TI HDC1000 temperature and humidity sensor.

It has 14-bit resolution (+- 0.2°C and +- 3% accuracy).

It should be compatible with the HDC1008 too but I haven't tested it yet. Also, I have written a library for it: https://github.com/ftruzzi/HDC1000-Arduino

Parts list

U1: HDC1000 IC from Texas Instruments, DSBGA-8 package.
C1: 0.1uF 0805 package decoupling cap.
R1,R2: 4.7k-10k ohm, 0805 package. I2C pull-up resistors.
R3: 10k ohm, 0805 package. Pull-up resistor to VCC, for the DRDYN pin. Leave the pin floating if not used.
R4, R5: 10k ohm, pull-down resistors to GND for address selection.
ADR0, ADR1 solder jumpers to VCC, connect to change the chip address (default: 0x41).

Why did you make it?

I needed a small, accurate and easy to use I2C sensor. This one also has a few cool features such as wide input voltage and is 5V tolerant. Also, it draws very little current.

What makes it special?

It has place for I2C pull-up resistors on board.
You can configure jumpers in order to change the address of the chip (default: 0x40).
It is 5V tolerant (no need for level shifters) and accepts a VCC from 3 to 5V.

First class boards. Great service!

First quality boards - great design. Now I can get on with several projects. Will buy these boards again as they are better than mine and at least as good TIs expensive evaluation board.
