What is it?

The FemtoduinoBLE gives you the power of an Arduino Leonardo, with full blown Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) module, using the BGLib library for Arduino.

Why did you make it?

We wanted to offer a small form factor Arduino board, with easy to use and fully certified Bluetooth 4.0 capabilities.

What makes it special?

It works with the Ardiuno IDE as-is. You can hook it up like you would an Ardiuno Leonardo. The on-board BlueGiga BLE113 is connected over software serial on pins D8, D9, as of revision 9. This frees up the SDA/SCL pins so you can even use a FreeIMU/FemtoIMU with this board.

The BGLib library for Arduino makes this the easiest way to get into BLE projects. The BlueGiga BLE line of modules are fully certified, so you can rest assured it's safe to integrate into your own projects.
