What is it?

The Coded Devices Difference Amp Board implements a classic differential amplifier circuit followed by an adjustable gain stage.

Why did you make it?

This board was originally designed for my own project to measure the voltage drop across a shunt resistor using a low-noise, compact differential amplifier. After using it successfully, I decided to offer it to others who might need a similar solution.

What makes it special?

The board uses a four-layer PCB with clear signal routing on the top layer for improved signal integrity and easier inspection. The board runs on a single supply voltage.

In addition to the differential input stage, a variable gain stage allows the output range to be matched to the following circuitry. Optional low-pass filtering and protective diodes are included for flexibility and robustness.
