What is it?

A matched quartet of brand-new 30-pin 4MB 60ns SIMMs built on purple ENIG-finished PCBs with fresh, low-power DRAM dies. Every stick is hand-soldered, cleaned, and run for 24h of continuous MemTest86 loops before pairing. The four modules share the same date-code, trace length, and timing characteristics so they behave like one 16MB logical bank in 386/486/68k machines that need four identical sticks.

Why did you make it?

Working retro boxes deserve memory that is as young as the restorations we perform on them. Pulls are flaky, NOS is drying up, and “new” stock is often re-labelled e-waste. I wanted a drop-in kit I could trust in my own builds and offer to the community without the gamble.

What makes it special?

Purple soldermask with mirror-finish ENIG fingers gives lower contact resistance and 20-year tarnish immunity . Brand-new original DRAMs (no pulls, no reballs) mean 3.3V-tolerant I/O and <50mA standby draw. Tight 60ns timing is validated at 50MHz bus speed with 0-wait-state BIOS settings. Finally, the four-barrel kit ships in anti-static foam that matches the PCB color—because even RAM deserves to arrive in style.
