Read More…BlueSCSI V2 is a solid-state SCSI emulator built on a high-quality JLCPCB factory-assembled board. A single 50-pin IDC connector plugs straight into your classic computer or sampler; standard floppy-drive 4-pin power keeps wiring simple. On a micro-SD card you store disk-images up to 2 TB: hard-drive, CD-ROM, ZIP, removable or even a tape archive. The device appears to the host as real SCSI targets 0-7, bootable and hot-swappable. DOS 3.3+, Windows 9x/NT, Mac OS 6-9, OS X, Linux, Atari, Amiga, Akai, Roland and many more are supported without extra drivers.
Vintage SCSI drives are noisy, power-hungry and increasingly unreliable; spare parts are scarce and prices soar. We wanted a plug-and-play, silent, low-power replacement that respects the originals: exact timing, proper parity, 512-byte sectors, 50-pin connector, no adapters. By open-sourcing the firmware and publishing the PCB, we also wanted to give the community a sustainable path to keep 80s & 90s computers alive forever.
Native 50-pin SCSI-1/SCSI-2 bus, no active termination needed in most systems
Industrial-grade JLCPCB 4-layer board with lead-free HASL and 0402 precision SMD assembly for rock-solid signal integrity
Dual-mode power: floppy 4-pin or USB-C (5 V) for bench testing
Emulates up to 7 simultaneous devices (HDD, CD, MO, ZIP) from one micro-SD card; instant image swap with the push button
Fully open-source firmware (BlueSCSI v2.x) with drag-and-drop image naming—no software to install
Silent, shock-proof, 0.3 W draw, MTBF > 1 000 000 h
Included 3D-printed cradle matches standard 3.5″ hard-disk bay (either vented open-frame or closed shield) and accepts normal 6-32 screws—drop it straight into PCs, Macs, samplers or enclosures
Community-driven updates, active Discord support and a growing wiki of ready-made images
