Many old Apple ii keyboards are broken, and buying a used one is rare and expensive, so I made this converter.

Does not work

The complete lack of documentation is a problem.

By the photos I'm pretty sure I've got everything plugged in the right way. The keyboard power LED comes on and occasionally the STC generates a reset signal when plugged in and out (but not always).

Also occasionally as I plug it in and out I do get random keypresses. But I've tried with two old known working PS2 keyboards and neither works.

Additionally I've now tried with an Apple II keyboard that also works. It's definitely the PS2 keyboard converter that does not work.

"Sorry you spent 50 bucks, I thought it worked" is not a great response.

I apologize, and I have removed the product from the platform.
As far as I know, it works fine. If you've tried rotating the chip socket connector and still can't get it to work properly, then I'll have to take this product off the shelves to prevent more people from buying something faulty.
