SMD LED Boosterpack Kit for the MSP430 Launchpad

The board should be compatible with the other boards by Texas Instruments (Stellaris, Fraunchpad) - but haven't been tested.

This is a DIY kit for learning surface mount soldering.

Interested in surface mount soldering - or just a glutton for punishment? (j/k) This is a good kit to get started, or hone your skills. All parts are provided in 0805 size or SOIC - good for a beginner. All parts are included in the kit. LEDs are arranged as common-cathode.

Code samples are available for both Energia and Code Composer Studio.

Kit Contents

1 PCB (White) 64 0805 LEDs (Blue) 8 33 Ohm resistors (For LEDs) 8 1.5k Ohm resistors (For transistors) 8 BC817-25 NPN SOT-23 Transistors 1 SOIC 595 Shift Registers --Note-- Transistor footprint is backwards - so the transistors come pre-soldered (upside down) to avoid problems. Video shows multiple LED colors - kit provided will come with Blue LEDs. However - if you drop me a message - I do have some of the LEDs shown in the video.
