This is a new version of the adapter card to allow the MaTouch Rotary 1.28" and 2.1" displays to connect connect to a Can Bus. On top of all the original features of V1 this version comes with an 8 port expansion IO chip (TI TCA9554) to allow for digital monitoring and control from the display.

All functionality from V1 is still present in this design. A 12V to 3.3V supply to eliminate the need to power from the USB port as well as a CanBus transceiver capable of NMEA2000 or OBD2 communication.

This is a simple board but once attached the display allows direct connection to a can bus such as MNEA2000 or automotive application. This board does not require any modifications to the display. For the 2.1" display the board attaches to the 3 screw on the back and uses one of the 1.25mm x 4p connections on the display. For the 1.28" display you can use the supplied standoffs to attach to the back plate after drilling 3 holes.

This listing is for the adapter card, the display must be purchased extra from Makerfabs or a suitable reseller. The displays shown in pictures below are simply for demonstration purposes. This has all the functionality of the V1/V2 board with an added 8 bits of parallel IO. The parallel IO is 3.3V compliant and connects with 2 x 1.25 4 pin headers. 2 Wiring pigtails are supplied for IO interconnect.
