This listing is for the PCB only and will require soldering of both through hole and smd components.   Due to the nature of this being a part that needs additional fabrication to be used, no returns can be accepted for this item. requirements after the board is populated with components: •  Raspberry Pi 3B($35) or 3B+ is also fine. important! other models are not compatible. • sd card - use a high quality brand • power supply - the Pi3B has a micro-USB power port and requires . you can also use a portable USB battery if it’s sufficiently large.

Why did you make it?

I have been intrigued by the Monome Norns since it was first introduced. I used it as the core for a hardware instrument I built and want to offer a diy version for everyone willing and wanting to build their own.

What makes it special?

This is a fantastic open source instrument that defies definition.  It runs supercollider scripts and allows the user to create incredible audio creations.
