What is it?

1.5W Class-A Stereo Amplifier. Just enough to fill a small room with sound.

Why did you make it?

I discovered through a transistor kit that a BD139 was enough to drive a 4 ohm speaker with sound. I've always been fascinated with amplifiers though, since I built a TDA1517 kit.
