This External USB sound card based on the high quality Burr-Brown (Texas Instruments) chip PCM2906. Sampling Rate: – Analog LPF Included – DAC: 32, 44.1, 48 kHz • Multifunctions: – ADC: 8, 11.025, 16, 22.05, 32, 44.1, 48 kHz The card has a line input and a line/headphone output. The signal is filtered with the active band-pass filters, realized with the high-performance Burr-Brown OPA2353 low noise opamps. The used capacitors are tantalum electrolytic capacitors from "Kemet". The card has 3 control buttons: "Volume up", "Volume down" and "Mute". It has also SP/DIF interface - external DAC can be used for the digital to analog conversion. In this case the card wil work only as USB codec, and the DAC will produce the audio signal. The card does not need a driver from Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. It can work also under Linux - but must have a USB driver installed.tested also under macOs Mojave (Ver. 10.14.6) - works without problems. This card is nice solution if your computer does not have working audiocard, or its performance is unsatisfactory.

Perfect for laptop ADC

My old commercial USB soundcard died, I wanted a better alternative and found this board.
Works perfectly, literally plug-and-play on both Win10 and Ubuntu 22.04 hosts, no additional drivers required.
Input supports 48kHz stereo which is sufficient for my ripping needs.
I have only tested basic functionality and auditioned a bit, but the analog output sounds great.
No markings on the board, so the 3.5mm jack on the same edge as USB is Input, other side is Output.
Buttons starting from the USB edge are Vol -, Vol +, Mute.
Mine came with a yellow power LED which isn't overpowering.

Great sound quality, low latency, compact form factor

Had it for a week and immediately impressed by this card, it is exactly what I was looking for :-) It is a super small and affordable option for good quality audio playback and stereo recording.
I've been able to monitor and play external synths from the input in realtime through a DAW, without perceptible latency on Mac.

At this price, it is hard to justify even looking for drawbacks, but there is one thing that required a workaround: when using it in my bedroom, the bright blue power LED stays lit all the time (when plugged into a powered hub). It would be helpful if there were a power switch on the board to allow it to remain connected when not in use, without producing light.
