This LCD shield is designed for experimenters who are interested in Android- Arduino, and Bluetooth experiments.

The shield offers headers for two different Bluetooth adapters: one is a general Bluetooth adapter(HC-06) available on and the other is BlueSMiRF mate silver from Sparkfun.

Features:

RGB LED
A white 5mm LED
Light-dependent resistor ( LDR) based light sensor.
LM35DZ-temperature sensor.
16x2 LCD display.
There is a header for HC-SR04 ultrasonic range finder.

Possible experiments: - Display "Hello World" or any text/message on the display. - Experiment with ultrasonic range finder - Display temperature sensor data - Display light sensor data - Use a Bluetooth module and control RGB LED. - Use Bluetooth module and display a graph on your phone building your own app.

You can use MIT Media Lab's App inventor (https://appinventor.mit.edu/) to build your own App and experiment with this device.
